The ladies at North Books certainly have interesting ideas for book clubs. At the moment they run Hay Reads and Stitches and Stories, and their latest idea is for a book club for books in translation, which will run in the months between the present Hay Reads bookclub. There will be a meeting on Thursday April 10th at 6pm to discuss plans for the new club. Email jules@northbooks.co.uk for the venue.
Thinking ahead to the Festival, they won't be running any special events in the bookshop this year, since there will be so much going on anyway.
They also have a cute new logo, designed by Aidan Saunders of Prints of Hay, and featuring Winnie the lurcher, the new bookshop dog, an adopted lurcher.
